Excerpt from my sci-fi fantasy novel
Fantasia book one
The day dawned with the purple sun for a change. Arno peeked out of his tent and then went back to sleep. The forecaster had gotten the sun colour wrong again which meant another day of rest instead of resuming to be on the road. Gerbil did the same thing but decided to spend the day sunbathing to get a purple sunlight tattoo. Him being a vain man.
Taris had the good sense to be travelling in a wagon so she decided to spend the day of tiring twilight sun drying tomatoes. They would be helpful for combatting cancerous cells when they crossed theMikana volcanoe crater.
A cow had also been sighted not far back so Taris also decided to milk that cow after her morning routine.j
Her unicorn unhooked from the wagon eating hay and Arnos lizard steed was asleep while Gerbils magic bear which he rode had gone hunting for fish. They were on their way to pledge allegiance to the queen of hearts. Her castle being now only five furlongs away.
The trio are old friends who have been heroes together before, many times in fact.
